Volunteer! There Are So Many Ways to Lend a Helping Hand

Selfless Solutions is a strong believer in cooperation – both with the communities we work with, and whoever is willing to help us fulfill our goals. That is why our Volunteering Program is always open for new volunteers and interns!

We are looking for self-motivated and proactive people, able and willing to make themselves and the projects they engage in succeed. They must also be able to adhere to our work philosophy, which is based on mutual respect, humility, and cooperation.

For those who see themselves in that description, and are willing to do meaningful work, we offer the following positions.

The Watoto Project

Selfless Solutions’ Watoto Project is an initiative in Arusha, Tanzania, created with a mission to empower children to be able to escape the intergenerational cycle of poverty by helping them acquire education and knowledge, so they can meet their basic human needs.

The participants of this project will serve as Project Development Coordinators (PDC), helping our partner daycare centers and primary schools to identify and act on organizational needs, through which we help them reach more children, and provide better care for the ones that are already considered in the program.

Healthcare Project

Selfless Solutions’ Healthcare Project is focused on Arusha, Tanzania, where we strive to provide all residents with healthcare services, the quality of which meets at least minimum standard of care requirements in developed countries.

The participants of this project will serve as Medical Assistants (MA). As MAs, the participants will cooperate with our partner hospitals and outpatient centers, aiding in day-to-day care delivery, and helping with identifying and fulfilling organizational needs of those facilities.

The Selfless Way

Selfless Solutions’ work philosophy is based on respect, and humility. It is important that the participants can follow those principles along with us. We expect the participants to take their positions seriously, fulfilling their responsibilities and cooperating with the locals and the staff, to ensure everyone’s time is used to the best of our abilities.

We also expect participants to be able to deal with the local culture in a way in a respectful and humble manner. We are, after all, guests in land of Tanzania, and it is important participants are aware of their position and act accordingly. 

The main goal of Selfless Solutions is to help the communities lift themselves up, meaning that they are the decisive power in the work process, and are the ones who need to be in most direct contact with people.
